With the new COVID-19 variant, the Omicron variant, new cases in BC have been skyrocketing. Even though the return of the students of BC schools have been delayed to January 10th and measures have been taken by the schools, the amount of cases will increase exponentially for the students are still staying within a confined space during class. There are thousands of new Omicron cases each day and the numbers will only increase once the students return to school.
