- Years I have had to deal with schools not handling bully issues until my child exploded and all of a sudden, he became the problem. Now they want to send him to an alternative school for defending himself. THE ONLY REASON they have agreed to put him other schools because his education is modified, and the local news got a hold of his story for continued bullying. Later school counselors and fellow faculty would call him a liar to claim they were not aware. He has tried to commit suicide several times and has been in therapy for his mental health due to being Bullied. Anger has overcome my sweet 16-year-old who is also on the spectrum, and struggles with identity. I would like to see more action taken when it comes to continued teasing. Because a child is different doesn't mean they need to be abolished and this is my how I see the situations are handled unless it is one of there kind. Concerned Mom, Sheila Rose. Let's bring attention for all that are bullied, and the winner's they truly are! I would like to see the 0 tolerance mean what it says. Reported bulling is not enough more action needs to be taken for those engaging in malice behavior to hurt others. Gaston county it's time to think of disciplinary actions for those who make fun of , or telling one to kill themself, and the list goes on . 0 tolerance means 0 .Gaston County your rule not ours hold up to your promise.
