Using Fans' Financial Leverage to End the MLB Lockout

Using Fans' Financial Leverage to End the MLB Lockout
Why this petition matters

The MLB, led by Rob Manfred, has made it clear throughout the recent collective bargaining negotiations that MLB ownership does not see itself as beholden to baseball fans in any way outside of purely financial incentives.
Signing this petition indicates: that I will NOT attend a Major League Baseball game for the first month of the MLB season unless a new Collective Bargaining Agreement is signed before March 1, 2022.
The MLB's disinterest in the wants and needs of baseball fans has been exemplified by its lack of urgency and bad faith arguments throughout its negotiations with the MLBPA. Seeing as the MLB does not view fans as a priority, it is imperative that we, the fans, align our interests in a manner that will successfully incentivize the MLB to act. Unfortunately, until proven otherwise, short-term profit is the organization's sole mission.
If we cannot change MLB ownership's perspective on long-term market health, we can at least align their needs with ours and create tangible financial consequences for the organization's short-term mindset and transparent attempts at arbitrage.

Our goal is to create enough momentum with this petition that we can put tangible financial losses in front of the MLB in the event that they continue their present course of negotiation.
