Ever since I was a young elementary school boy I’ve loved the game of baseball. I went to my first ever B-Mets game when I was about 6 or 7. As time grew in years my love for the game grew as well. At the age of 15 I was given the most amazing job opportunity as a batboy for the (at the time) newly renamed Rumble Ponies and have worked there ever since doing the same thing and I’m a senior going on 18 now. I’ve practically grown up in this stadium in a way and I consider it a second home and I know I’m not the only person whether it’s a child or teen or even adult that has had at least one great memory at this stadium. So with all due respect Mr. Rob Manfred, if you think that getting rid of something that is one of the only things we have left in this city is “best for business” I’m afraid you’re wrong. If you get rid of Binghamton baseball you’re getting rid of 100+ years of history and not to mention throwing away memories that nothing can replace. So please join me in my effort to save professional baseball in Binghamton.
