Why this petition matters

Some of you know but, some of you don't. At the end of the 2020 season the MLB is set to cut around 42 minor league teams.
On that list is the Burlington Royals. They are the rookie league affiliate of the Kansas City Royals
Since 1986 baseball in Burlington has provided fun and entertainment for a small town where there really isn't a lot to do.
From 1986-2007 Burlington was home to the Burlington Indians serving as the rookie league affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. While they were the Indians it brought some big names through Burlington such as Manny Ramirez, Jim Thome, Bartolo Colon and C.C Sabathia.
Last year was the Royals first year after spending millions to renovate the park and giving much more of the real deal experience for the fans.
Please consider signing this petetion to keep baseball in Burlington. Whether you go to one game a season, never miss a game or just feel that the MLB is in the wrong and love baseball.
Not only is baseball America's favorite past time but, teams like the Burlington Royals have provided years and years of fun and memories for people just like me and many many more.
