Release women unlawfully arrested during peaceful protest in Mirpur Khas

Women in Mirpur Khas Sindh Pakistan were protesting peacefully against the torturous detention of their sons, brothers and other family members. Whilst exercising this constitutional right to protest (and also a right guaranteed under the UN charter to which Pakistan is a signatory) paramilitary forces named Rangers stopped the protest, and arrested these women. This incident happened just a day after a similar incident in Karachi where women were peacefully protesting for the same reason and the Rangers personnel assaulted these women, snatched their mobile phones and used abusive language. Many women workers were beaten up/misbehaved by armed personnel.
Media representatives were prevented from covering/filming the demo. Cameramen from television networks and print media were forced to delete their footage and still shots from their cameras
This petition is an appeal to the Government of Pakistan as well as DG Rangers to take steps to RELEASE these women as soon as possible and also take strict action against these civil and human rights violations. They should investigate the arbitrary use of power and unlawful actions of paramilitary personnels involved.
