Maintain BU-1A Zoning at NE Corner of 157 Ave. SW 120 St. - Against changing to BU-3
Maintain BU-1A Zoning at NE Corner of 157 Ave. SW 120 St. - Against changing to BU-3
Why this petition matters
The owner/contractor of the property is seeking to change the Zoning from a BU-1A (limited Business usage) to a BU-3 (Liberal Business usage).
Concerned residents will have an opportunity to advocate against this change due to the disruptions that allowing multi-uses will inevitably bring to our neighborhood.
Currently, under the present covenant from 2006 approved site plan; this property can
be utilized for six practical uses. They are Banks, Barber Shops, Beauty Parlors, Offices, Optical Stores, Post Offices, and a Printing and copy service and supplies.
This Zoning hearing is to request 45 additional uses that are disruptive and will be a nuisance to the residents of Garden Estates. To list a few are Restaurants, Brew Pubs, Outdoor dining and walk up windows, Private clubs, Variety Stores, etc.
How will this affect your community? Opposing the zoning change will maintain the integrity, safety and privacy of Garden Estates. We will not endure any heavy traffic
generation, hazardous materials, smells, noise and disturbance, and any undesirable/unethical businesses affecting our neighborhood. There is also the
concern of the negative impact on our current property value.
