Madison heights police chief made a executive decision to turn away all willing volunteers that help at the animal control department. These volunteers provide necessary human interaction, activities and exercise for the beautiful animals that are unfortunately held at the animal control office. These volunteers are important to serve as advocates for the animals they volunteer to care for. Without the volunteers, we have no way to check/balance the decisions that are made affecting these animal’s quality of life and ultimate fates.
