Correct traffic signal at ramp from IN-38 South to I-69 South
Why this petition matters

The signal controlling traffic from IN-38 South (Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd) to I-69 South includes a “No Turn on Red” sign. There is a disconnect between the high number of vehicles who disregard both the red light and the “no turn on red” sign and those who obey both. There have been frequent near-miss situations when those who disregard the signals do not expect the vehicle in front of them to stop.
This could be resolved by converting the right turn signal at this intersection into a yield sign. A yield sign would still put the responsibility upon the driver turning right to ensure that the intersection is clear before proceeding. It would also allow law-abiding citizens to avoid making the decision between obeying the law and potentially being rear-ended at this light.
