As a growing society and even a stronger community, we often look overseas for societal issues, when in fact societal issues can be found in our own backyard and we might not even know about them

Fact: One in eight Americans live on an income that puts people at risk for hunger. More than thirteen million children rely on food banks or schools for their next meal. Food banks face an abundance of fear during the summer months as these are months where children receive no form of free or reduced-cost meals at school. It can be quite terrifying as these growing children don't know where their next meal can come from or even if they get a guaranteed meal.
