The Spice Girls are undeniably the biggest girl group ever, defining both the 90s and an entire era of British pop music.
In 1999, Madame Tussauds unveiled wax figures of the Spice Girls (apart from Geri) at Rock Circus, which were displayed in London until 2001 when the attraction closed. The girls were never relocated to Madame Tussauds London, but were instead shipped to Madame Tussauds Amsterdam where they were displayed alongside a restyled Geri in the Music Section. They were retired from the attraction a few years ago.
Madame Tussauds New York have had a set of Spice Girls figures since 2001, also adding Geri to the lineup in recent years. It is great that the Spice Girls are recognised at the New York attraction, and it would be amazing to see another set of figures at Madame Tussauds London since they were a British girl group, and undeniably one of the biggest pop acts of all time. The girls belong in both New York and London!
Spice Girls fans around the world would love to see the Spice Girls recognised at Madame Tussauds London, and think that a permanent set of Spice Girls figures would be an amazing addition to the attraction! The iconic image of the Spice Girls makes them instantly recognisable, and their legacy continues to this day.
Madame Tussauds London celebrates global icons, but also a of lot of British icons, with figures such as the Royal Family, The Beatles, Adele and the Spirit of London ride. The girls would be a perfect addition to continue the theme of British icons!
We would love to see another set of Spice Girls figures at Madame Tussauds London!
