Build Mad River's Terrain Parks

Build Mad River's Terrain Parks
Why this petition matters
Mad River Mountain Ski Resort in Zanesfeild, Ohio has been known for having some of the best terrain parks in the midwest. Mad River advertises 4 terrain parks including Upper Capital Park, Lower Capital Park, Kicker Lane, and Louie Vito Learning Park. After recently coming under the ownership of Vail Resorts, their number of terrain parks has shrunk to only half of 1. Having these terrain parks built and open is essential to the flow of the mountain and progression as a rider. Having Louie Vito Learning park filled with small features allows for less experienced riders to learn the mechanics of park riding with less risk. Additionally, having more advanced features built in Upper Capital Park, Lower Capital Park, and Kicker Lane allows for riders to progress their riding and abilities. Having only half of one park open causes congestion of riders of different abilities all in one spot. This can be very dangerous for both experienced and inexperienced riders.
Many of Mad River's season park holders and day riders come specifically for the terrain parks. Since Mad River is a small resort with limited terrain, the terrain parks are some of the most visited trails at the resort, with riders riding them over and over again all day long. Decreasing the number of features in the park would lead to a decrease in season pass holders and day riders as they feel they are not getting what they paid for. This could lead to the resort becoming understaffed and neglected, resulting in a worse experience for everyone who enjoys the resort. Help us get our great terrain parks back!
