I believe that like our counterparts at the University of Alberta, MacEwan University students should have access to the same tools. I am specifically referring to the Bloomberg Terminal. 

What is a Bloomberg Terminal

• Bloomberg Terminal is a high end research tool utilized by professionals and students around the world to make informed financials decisions and to gather and interpret data regarding the financial sector.

Why should the University of MacEwan take money from their annual budget and pay the subscription fee for Bloomberg Terminals?

• The benefit of having such an in-depth and versatile research tool present at school would be invaluable. Students and staff alike would have access to information and research tools utilized by the institutional investors, Ivy League universities and government organizations alike. Professors could use the expansive array of tools, information and educational modules to help aide in bringing real life examples into the classroom, while the students would have access to one of the worlds most expansive data sources for research projects. Both students and faculty could use the Bloomberg terminal to make well informed decisions regarding their personal finances and help aide their understanding of finance as a whole.
• Regarding the University of MacEwan as a whole, having a tool like the Bloomberg Terminal would not only attract more students into their business programs but allow our school to differentiate itself from other schools.
