Maajid Usman Nawaz is a British activist, author, columnist, radio host and politician. He is also the founding chairman of Quilliam, a counter-extremism think tank that seeks to challenge the narratives of Islamist extremists.
Gad Saad was born in 1964 in Beirut, Lebanon, to a Jewish family. His family fled to Montreal, Quebec, Canada in October 1975 to escape the Lebanese Civil War and antisemitism. He obtained a B.Sc. (Mathematics and Computer Science) and M.B.A. from McGill University, and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Cornell University. Saad's doctoral adviser was the mathematical/cognitive psychologist and behavioural decision theorist Edward Russo.
Both have a very different take on Islam yet both voices,
"together"must be heard. From what I understand and have read it seems Maajid is avoiding this debate, i do not understand why if he seeks to reform the very Faith of which he speaks.
I believe this would be an insightful and interesting debate between two highly accomplished individuals.
