A very close, life long family friend of mine, that I care so deeply about, is currently suffering from this issue. She has suffered with lupus for roughly 6 years but has been able to manage it with the medication she needs. New information about this medication has been put out and is thought to help COVID-19 yet not confirmed.

Rather than using a small amount for testing, the majority of lupus medication available is now going directly to this testing, leaving little to none for the people, like this family friend I am blessed to have, that are actually suffering with it. Without this medication, people with lupus are not only suffering on their own but now have a drastically higher risk of not being able to fight COVID-19, if contracted. So many people are being put at risk and having their medication taken away without even receiving a short supply for the time being.

I personally already hate seeing this friend, who I truly consider family, suffer and could not even imagine either myself or her family seeing her and how much it could do to her with COVID-19 if she were to get it. Please raise awareness for this issue and sign this petition to prioritize giving these medications to the people truly suffering without them. Thank you
