As a former flag football player and one of the first girls to play in my local league flag football has always held a special place in my heart. Now my organization, the NFL Flag – Seacoast Youth Flag Football League, will be working with the New England Patriots Foundation, Nike, and more resources with the goal of making female flag football a sanctioned high school sport and I couldn't be more excited to be a part of this new sport for female athletes that I wish I had in high school. Our goal is to have a minimum of eight Massachusetts high schools join us for this club program. We are looking to work with schools within a certain radius of our existing recreational programs. We are looking for about four more schools to join us in this new initiative as female participation in flag football continues to grow!
