Fix M1 Data Connectivity at Canberra Plaza
The data connectivity at Canberra Plaza is horrible. Specifically for users who are using the M1 4G network. At worse, it is not possible to perform a check-in within the mall with the phone, and at best, the speeds are snail slow, even when loading a common website like Google.com. It handily defeats all the conveniences that technology offers - PayNow at retail shops fails. Self check-out at NTUC fails.
The petition owner created this petition because he has gathered feedback from co-workers, friends, Canberra Plaza retail staff who are part of the Canberra community to learn that this has been a long-standing issue. Despite raising the issue since January 2021 across customer service channels such as Facebook, live chat, phone calls with M1 customer service and engineers, it has not been resolved. The data connectivity remains exceptionally poor.
Since there are no alternative channels and no further follow-ups by M1 on the issue, this petition aims to create awareness, collect statistics to show the M1 management of the issue's impact, and encourage further action to rectify the problem.
For the community that lives around and use Canberra Plaza to go about our daily lives, who also happen to be M1 users, we deserve better.
