DEMAND THAT M. FISHMAN & CO. FORGIVE BACK RENT FOR STRUGGLING TENANTS.

With cases of COVID-19 on the rise once more and millions still out of work, renters across the country are facing an even greater crisis this fall: mass eviction. Help us bring relief to the Chicago tenants of real estate tycoon Mark Fishman!!!

We, the union of tenants known as North Spaulding Renters' Association, call on M. Fishman & Co. to forgive all back rent owed as of the end of Illinois' eviction moratorium on September 22. 

We are ordinary people living in a scary and dangerous time. We are looking for work, caring for sick loved ones, and scrambling to make ends meet. Now, with our protections set to expire later this month, Fishman is threatening many of us with eviction due to back rent accrued during a global pandemic and economic depression! 

We demand to be treated like human beings! We demand to be allowed space and grace to rebuild our lives in the wake of unrest and disaster. We demand rent forgiveness!

We will be walking in solidarity to M. Fishman's offices in Logan Square on Monday, September 14, to deliver this petition. Please take a moment to sign in support of our right to housing!
