Please note.. October 1st UPDATE!

The applicant of the Cider Mill Village of Lyon, LLC has requested to be put on Monday  October 7th agenda for preliminary approval for a planned unit development.

The developer is still requesting 490 homes which is 2 1/2 times more homes than the current master plan! This would destroy this side of town! 

“This is going to be the most important meeting to determine the outcome,” Des Rochers, planning department coordinator said. “This is where we see if the project will be approved or denied. Even though this isn’t a formal public hearing, the board is good about allowing the public to speak.” The plan, she said, is exactly the same one that the planning commission recommended denial in a 6-1 vote in August."

Please take a moment to sign this petition and include what town you live in and a short description why you agree that the Township Board of Trustees should vote NO to re-zoning these properties and stick to the current master plan of 1 home per acre and no commercial or retail. 

Also PLEASE be sure to send an email to the list of Township board members below even if you sent one in August please send another one to the voicing your opinion.

The proposed Cider Mill Village plan is up for review again this coming Monday August 12th by the Lyon Township Planning Commission.

This is the second review of this plan, but 490 homes is still 2 1/2 times more homes than the current master plan allows and more than two times the requested rezoning of 2 homes per acre! This would destroy this side of town! 

Please take a moment to sign this petition if you agree that the Lyon Township Planning Commission and the Township Board of Trustees should vote NO to re-zoning these properties and stick to the current master plan of 1 home per acre and no commercial or retail.
