We all have an abundance of reasons to love Lynn Haven. We’re able to enjoy warm sunny days at our beautiful city parks and are even fortunate enough to make the commute via golf cart! Unfortunately, however, we cannot reach all city parks via golf cart. (See map and city ordinance links below)

The current city golf cart map allows crossings at Hwy 77 and 9th Street, allowing residents to cross the highway to arrive at both Kinsaul park (featuring a dog park, a playground, a splash pad, and host to various city events, such as football leagues, Easter Egg Hunts, and July 4th fireworks) Sheffield Park (home to a large playground area, concession stand, and a beautiful amphitheater that holds seasonal concert series as well as other productions) and Porter Park (home to our own sandy beach, multiple playgrounds, a boat launch, a fishing pier also allowing golf cart access, and plenty of picnic tables to enjoy).

The only other approved crossings are of Hwy 389 (12th St.) at Illinois Ave. and Iowa Ave. All residents south of Highway 390 are unable to cross in order to enjoy either of the previously mentioned parks. Conversely, all residents north of Hwy 390 are unable to cross as a means to travel to the newly renovated Cain Griffin Park, which is home to seasonal baseball and kickball leagues, basketball and tennis courts, a splash pad, walking paths, and a playground. 

This petition will serve as authentication that residents of Lynn Haven desire access to all of the cities amenities via golf cart. Please join us in support so it can be passed along to our city officials in hopes of a change in the future!
