On behalf of the many students that I have conversed with over this lockdown regarding our mocks, we all agree that the mocks should be cancelled . It’s very close to our external exam dates and the majority of us find it very stressful. Not only do we think this is already having a negative strain on our mental health but it also seems very unnecessary. We should take that time to revise with our teachers and with the class on the topics that we studied during lockdown, some students find it hard to learn from home and some don’t have Internet or device access. A lot of other schools have cancelled their mock exams, we’d like it if Lynfield did the same and used a derived grade from our internals/ topic tests instead.
