In 2004, voters approved Measure W, initiated by the Palm Drive Healthcare District to raise operating revenue from our tax dollars for the purpose of ensuring the survival of Palm Drive Hospital and its 24-hour Emergency Room.  

As of Wednesday, December 4, 2019, the District neither owns nor operates a  hospital and there is no Emergency Room. Therefore, we request that LAFCO dissolve the Palm Drive Healthcare District and the County apply our parcel taxes to the millions in debt we will still owe until 2035.
