So far three girls at my school have gotten warnings for breaking dress codes. one of which was wearing a shirt that only showed a half-inch of her stomach. These dress codes are blatantly sexist, and barely ever touch on boys' clothing. Might I add these warnings occurred and a hot summer day so of course we were wearing shorts and tank tops.

We have been in school for two weeks wearing our clothes proudly and the only ones bothered by it are the staff, no boy has been "distracted" by that half-inch of my friend's stomach.

We use clothes as a way to express ourselves. So these dress codes are blatantly disrespectful of our right to the first amendment.
