Elroy Edwards started this petition to luton borough council

The LFLCT has run the building on Tomlinson avenue for 18 years. The centre has been primarily a learning facility in the heart of the Lewsey farm enabling the community access to low cost space hire for various projects, activities and events. This is thanks to the hard work of the trust and staff over the years. The last AGM was held in February 2020, this meeting came to an abrupt adjournment due to an omission of updated paperwork and to be resumed on submission of updated paperwork within the following few weeks.
At this point of the meeting a Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary had been voted in by the Trustees who were in agreement of the adjournment . In the interim a Management committee would oversea operations until the AGM resumes with instructions not to make any operational changes.
Then came Covid and lockdown which understandingly delayed the remainder of the AGM. At this point the self-appointed management committee decided to change the locks.Removing some of those legally voted board members from Companies house and The Charity Commission registration.
At no point was there any consideration to utilise the centre when the community was in need .
The centre still remains closed.

Now that the pandemic and lockdown are easing the AGM should now be resumed where it left off so that the community has the opportunity to use the space.

Luton borough council were instrumental in stopping the AGM going ahead and are reluctant to allow it to continue. The Council should have no input into inter-board decisions.

We are petitioning as members of the LFLCT Trust ,Trustees , service user's and the community to resume the AGM with all issues raised over the past year being addressed and resolved.
