This week at Martin, the lunch room situation was changed in a way that we dont see fair or fitting. It takes forever to get to out assigned seats, we cant see our friends and people are worried about increased spreading of COVID-19. We can see and understand where the lunch admin is coming from, but before Mr. Kimbro left he told us that 8th grade would have more freedoms, but we just don't feel that we are getting that. This is out last year at Martin and we are yet to have a normal year. Therefore, we are trying to make the best out of this year while we still have time left. There are options like getting to sit with our friends when we are inside, asking for parent volunteers or just all going together outside for the last 15 minutes of lunch. We also would like to enjoy the warm weather before it's too cold to go outside at all. In conclusion, the general consensus of the student body is that we can see where the admin is coming from, but definitely think that things need to change back to the way they were when we had 2 groups.
