Installation of a pedestrian crossing on Keon Parade, Reservoir, Victoria.

We are desperately seeking funding for a safe pedestrian crossing on Keon Parade, Reservoir.

The current situation is extremely unsafe as pedestrians are continually putting themselves at risk by crossing illegally. People commuting from Keon Park train station to the 902 bus service are crossing over a 70km/h road, with near disastrous results.

Endeavour, a special needs employer, who employs over 160 people with disabilities, is also affected as it's employees require a safe crossing to get to bus stops and train stations.

We urgently need Vicroads and the Victorian Government to act before it is too late. On numerous occasions we have had customers come to our cafe, suffering asthma attacks due to running across Keon Parade. This is and should be unacceptable.

Previous attempts to get anything done have fallen on deaf ears. Vicroads mentioned the costing for a pedestrian crossing would be approximately $500k. Where as a death of 1 person would cost a minimum of $1 million.

Let's get together as a community and get this project started.
