I am a former player and current fan of the Lufkin Panther Football Team. I am calling upon the community of Lufkin to seek out a change from the Lufkin ISD Administration to enact a head coaching change. We have had a combined record of 10-11 over the last 2 seasons and we can all agree that is below the standard of our program. There has been an expressed frustration from within our community, our current players, and other students with a interest of playing for our team, with the current head coach. The goal for our fans, players, and community is to provide a healthy environment for our student athletes to succeed academically and on the field. And our current head coach has not took the necessary steps to fulfill that goal. There are several, viable candidates that are more suitable to fulfill that goal than our current head coach. And with the current negative trend of our program, we must explore other options to lead our program back to success and recreate a healthy environment for our student athletes.
