I want to help the environment by cleaning out scrap metal and cans and bottles from the dumpster in Uconn.
On 6/10/2017 a construction worker called me in 7am in giving me the head's up about scrap metal that was thrown in the dumpster outside the Uconn bookstore across from the Gampel Pavillion.
Unfortunately Uconn Police Officers confronted me in their police vehicle. They claimed I'm stealing, "state property" from the dumpster. To the officers suspicion that I was a criminal. They ask me for my Driver's license. Unfortunately I didn't have my wallet on me. So I got a $117 ticket. And now am going to court because I plea not guilty and I urge people to sign my petition to persuade the judge to drop the case in my effort to make the community a lot cleaner.
Uconn Police Department has been known to ticket people for dumpster diving for cans and bottles every year. They fine people $200 for garbage picking for cans and bottles. Also make threats to come to your house to place arrests if caught for dumpster diving.
