Lucy the loneliest and coldest elephant has been at Edmonton Valley Zoo for over 4 decades. Stolen from her mother and family at the age of two.  
Voted the fourth worst zoo due to lies and propaganda, here are a few examples of why?
 They refuse to get a independent elephant vet. They’ve refused a warm blanket for her to walk in the freezing cold temperatures. She has no companionship, no therapeutic swimming pool, hard substrate causing foot problems, no tree to rub her body on, they walk with a bull hook instead of positive reinforcement like treats, has arthritis, bad teeth, overweight, forced to do tricks, forced to dip her nose in toxic paint but yet she has respiratory problems.
They call her paintings enrichment, we call it animal abuse. This zoo says she will die in transport due to respiratory problems and they continue to dip her nose in toxic paint. Why? 
How many elephants does Lek have that were in worse conditions that survived over 1000 miles in a truck?  

The world is watching. Cher is advocating, so many celebrities offered to pay at no cost to this city.
Our government allows this abuse. Our mayor and city council allow this abuse. Whether you believe Lucy is fine, think again, she’s not fine in this zoo. The cost to taxpayers is $250,000 a year to house Lucy and this city needs ideas how to house the homeless? We have an idea, retire Lucy!  We all get to retire sooner or later, why is Lucy any different? She’s done her time. 

 We say set her free to a warm sanctuary with proper medical attention, to roam, to be with her kind, to live a free life and she chooses her own enrichment before it’s too late.
