If something happens to a student from Corona, will the university take responsibility for it?

NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN OUR LIFE

Lucknow University 3rd and 5th semester examinations were scheduled to start from January 6, 2022, which has now been extended by 10 days. But the problem arises here is the increment in COVID-19 cases, outburst of Omicron coronavirus, upcoming elections and so on. This might lead to an increase in the coronavirus cases on a very large scale. Also simultaneously conducting college exams can be hazardous and will lead to the third wave of this life threatening virus.

University postpone the exams for 10 days by its scheduled date but is it safe for students???

By the report of "TIMES OF INDIA"

On New Year Day, India had reported 27,718 fresh cases by late night with data from two states awaited. This was over 5,000 more than the tally of 22,706 on Friday.

Covid infections have exploded this week, coinciding with the rise in the Omicron variant of the virus, with cases increasing nearly 4.5-fold in just five days. While the 22% spurt in cases on Saturday was lower than the percentage growth recorded in the previous four days, this could be due to a fall in testing on New Year eve as the all-India test positivity rate increased to 4.4%, from 2.05% on the previous day.

Moreover in the second wave of coronavirus people have lost their loved ones and have suffered a lot. Adding on to this, people have suffered from this deadly disease themselves too and are experiencing after affects till now.

For the students it's not possible or not safe to appear for the offline exams as there will be a large crowd inside and outside the college/ University campuses. Hence, after all the safety and preventive measures it can't be avoided.

Further more, Lucknow University has lost their valuable faculty members earlier this year in the second wave of COVID-19, therefore, it is favourable for both the university and it's students if the exams are held on online mode.

To be safe should our first priority and to wish for the well being of everyone around us should be our motto. Hence, we request for the online examination.
