With the uncertainty of the times and rising financial instability many are facing, I believe it's only fair for Loyola to refund fees to my graduating class due to the absence of a ceremony. Many of my classmates are no longer in New Orleans, thus are unable to attend the photo-op option provided (which still isn't a ceremony). Secondly, asking students to attend Class of 2021's ceremony or any ceremony within the next 5 years is considerate but highly unrealistic. Most people can't even predict where they will be in a month let alone in years to come. I'm thankful for the efforts of President Tetlow and other staff, however, I believe it would be best to simply refund our fees and let us move on with our lives.

I support Chapelle Johnsons future. Please return graduation fees if no ceremony is held. Please be the example and do what's righteous.

As an alumnus, I'm signing because, as circumstances have it, with the Covid-19 pandemic, 2020 graduation ceremonies will not happen this year. This not Loyola’s fault, but if the fees have not been utilized, Loyola should do the right thing and refund money back to the graduates. Given the financial stressors of the pandemic, it’s not right to hold on to unused funds instead of refunding them.
