Roughly 85% of Loyola students and faculty are vaccinated. Covid rates are down. Risk levels are low, especially for teens. We have been wearing masks for 2 years and to be honest we done with it. We believe we will be safe if we don’t wear masks. Many of us don’t even wear masks correctly and numbers are still low. It’s ironic because the leaders a Loyola Academy have this false perception that no one has a life outside of school, that we wear masks and stay safe out of school. It makes no difference if we wear masks at all. We should not be forced to wear something on our face for a cause that many of us don’t feel concerned about. If you have an underlying issue , a family member at risk, or just personally want to wear a mask we can all still do that. But forcing it is immoral and unconstitutional.
