Lowest standards are just the beginning - Demand Bunnings stop selling endangered timber!

Mountain ash forests in the Central Highlands of Victoria have been declared Critically Endangered by the IUCN. This threatens a collapse of an eco system and pushes the Leadbeater’s Possum, who rely on these forests, to the verge of extinction.

We need to act now!

Bunnings Warehouse stores across the country willingly stock and sell products such as Victorian Ash, KD Hardwood and other timber products sourced from these precious forests.

At “every day low prices”, our forests are worth more.

In doing this, Bunnings Warehouse knowingly breach their own ethical sourcing standards which state: “long term efforts in timber procurement have provided customers and team members with the knowledge that our timber is responsibly sourced."

Alternative sustainable timber options are readily available. We need to stop the hypocrisy and protect these forests for the future.

Join me in calling on Bunnings Warehouse and their parent company Wesfarmers to immediately stop selling these products in all of their stores.

Demand Bunnings stop immediately!
