The average woman spends 40 years of her life on her period. That’s 480 times that women have to spend money on menstrual products. The average cost of tampons are $5.99 and the average cost of pads are $6.99, but unfortunately the World Bank estimates that 500 million women and girls lack access to menstrual hygiene products. Period poverty is real and it’s time to start having better access and cheaper prices for menstrual products.
