On the evening of May 21st 2023 Anthony and his friends wanted to see the rated R movie "Master Gardener" that just released two days earlier. He bought his tickets online so he did not have to wait in the long lines and could walk right in after printing my ticket. After receiving his ticket he proceeded to the person who would tell him what theater his movie was in. She asked him for his identification and he gave her his drivers license and she then examined it and told him he, a 15 year old boy, was not old enough to see the movie because he was not 17. I find it odd how you can operate a motorized vehicle at the age of 15, but cannot see a simple film with vulgar language and maybe an inappropriate scene or two. You could physically harm myself or someone else at 15 with my vehicle but you cannot see a scary movie? This doesn't make sense and is unfair. You can drive by yourself, but your parent has to be there to hold your hand and let you be able to see the movie. The age to see rated R movies should be lowered to 15 instead of the unreasonable age of 17.
