Why this petition matters

Started by Linda Cope
Currently the age for same sex siblings sharing a bedroom in the UK with social housing through the government guidelines is 16. This needs to be lowered to 13 as all parents know, teenagers can struggle enough with a variety of changes and with hormones raging, school work getting progressively harder , our children need their own space. I currently reside in a 2 bedroom ground floor flat. My youngest child (10 years old) shares with me because only having a total of 4 rooms in the whole of the property, and no garden or private outdoor space my eldest daughters mental health has been affected. My aim is to bring it to the governments attention that siblings of the same sex should be entitled to a bedroom of their own at the age of 13.
