Fish consumption is a global problem affecting todays world. It’s estimated that roughly in the next 30 years many fish will become extinct and in the near future the ocean will die if we carry on the rate we are going , without fish in the ocean , it cannot regulate itself and species that live within it , fish absorb 4 times the amount of carbon dioxide than rainforest does each year , so why does the media only focus on deforestation in the rainforest when the ocean is also such a huge global problem , carbon dioxide is a green house gas which increases global temperatures meaning the more co2 the hotter our climate becomes which leads to more natural disasters such as , sea levels rising which can cause entire coasts to be submerged under water and many species becoming extinct , and when those become extinct it limits food other species eat which causes them to become extinct  and so on . without fish there will be more and more carbon emitted each year , the ocean will become full of waste and become inhabitable for many organisms .the entire food chain will fall apart . Fishing lines are the main cause of sea creatures dying each year ( over 40%) whereas plastic straws are ONLY 0.03% . So why are we only stopping making plastic straws when the fish lines the clearest problem ? One way you can help this is consuming less fish , this ultimately can help fish populations become bigger and be given the chance to re populate which has a huge positive impact on our climate and oceans , another thing you can do is donate to charities against over fishing which can directly fight this wide scale issue we are facing. before you stop and think how does this effect you , without the ocean we are unable to live . we have the responsibility to look after this world and we have ruined it in every way possible , it’s not too late to make a difference
