Energy prices are at an all time high.

Many families across the UK were already struggling. These increases are only going to worsen the situation.

Poverty is the worst its been since world war II, and many families will be forced to choose between food, or heat and electricity.

A large number of working families are going to be forced to start using food banks, and many will be pushed to breaking point.

We are a first world Country, and no one should have to struggle to keep their homes warm and have access to electricity and hot water. That is a basic human right that many will now be denied as a result of these increases.

The government needs to step up and do something. They need to find a way to absorb these price increases so that hard working people do not suffer. 

Other Countries governments have been able to absorb these increases. Our Government should be able to do the same. 

The Government needs to consider a way to absorb these price increases,  or another alternative. If this does not happen hundreds of thousands of people are going to be forced into poverty.

This is 2022 and no one should have to live without these basic necessities.
