Almost every other nation on earth has drinking and smoking age at 18 or lower!

Adults are adults, there should be no distinguish between adults.

18 year olds pay taxes, they can sign contracts, they get charged as adults in court, they can obtain massive debt, they can die serving their nation, they can start a business, they can work in dangerous conditions, they can be sued. 

The age to vote was lowered to 18 as they are able to serve, but they aren't able to smoke or drink.

The Government should not interfere in actions that do not pertain to actions that do not effect others, as it is a personal choice.

Lower the age back to 18 and restore personal freedom to ALL ADULTS!

U.S. Army Captain Stephen M. Waltenbaugh, an assistant professor of military science at SU, agrees. The government cannot pick and choose certain ages that people are responsible for. You are responsible enough to do what the government wants, like serve in the military and vote, or you are not. If you are, then you should also be responsible for your decisions.

“[At 18] you’re either A, an adult, or B, not an adult,” Waltenbaugh said. “If A, you’re an adult, you should be afforded all the rights and privileges afforded to any adult. That means the right to drink, smoke and do all the unhealthy things adults tend to do.”
