A recent change in the rules is making all members of the Lovejoy High School Cross Country team wear shirts while running on and off-campus to look more uniform. Many members of the team strongly disagree with this rule for a few reasons.

• Shirtless with black running shorts already makes each team member look the same
• Running with a shirt increases the chances of overheating and heatstroke.
• Sweaty shirts can cause chaffing and discomfort
• Other top high school teams run shirtless. Running with a shirt hinders our training and puts us at a disadvantage against our competition.
