Proctoring services such as ProctorU and Proctorio are an massive liability to privacy. Students are required to download what is essentially spyware, and the extension doesn't work as it should. Students must have a webcam and microphone to record their every move. You have to show your workspace, your entire room, where your phone is, and the computer can detect eye and head movements which is extremely unnerving to users. There are a lot of issues with a lack of competent support and buggy software preventing students from taking their exams, therefore lowering their grade. These services should be removed from use at LSU and other schools across the country. If you are a student that is stressed out because that their school forced them to download this service, and you can't take tests due to a lack of a webcam or a microphone.
