Under the current proposal, state funding would decrease by more than $71 million* and fees and self generated revenues (student costs) would increase by more than $144 million in FY 2014-2015.
The state needs a reason to reverse its trend of reduced state funding for higher education and increased tuition, fees, and student taxes. It's time we restore the proper amount of funding necessary for our universities to compete on a national level. Let's give our postsecondary education system the resources it needs.
