Ban the Bag in Louisiana

Plastic grocery bags are one of the most common types of trash found in the world's water ways and they provide a great threat to wildlife found there.  Since many Louisiana natives depend on the seafood industry for their income, it is imperative that we reduce the trash threatening that way of life as well as protecting the foods we love to eat!

Making this change will greatly reduce the negative impact of plastics on our local economy and habitats.

Banning the use of free plastic bags at grocery stores and similar retailers would would curb the creation of the bags as well as reduce the trash in the Gulf of Mexico.

Continuing the use of these flimsy and non-recyclable plastics will decimate our seafood industry, reduce the number of jobs, and change the way of life for the people that live along the Louisiana Gulf Coast.

LA seafood is one of my favorite foods and I can't imagine a world without it!  Thank you for listening and helping our locals by banning the bag!
