Hello, 

My name is Muranda Hill. My daughter's and I were treated in a manner today, by Shelby Ainsworth & one of his Assistant principals today doing a meeting, that I asked to have, because another assistant principal of his, Pearson, hung up the phone in my face doing a discussion, I was having with her about rolling her eyes at my daughter & talking about her with another principal, because of clothing. Ainsworth allowed one of his principals to yell at us, bang on the table, stand up over us and yell while talking to us. The assistant principal, told us several of times, that we were wasting their time, and called my daughter's liars to their face multiple times. Ainsworth himself banged on the table and yelled at me stating, this meeting was about to end, once I let the assistant principal know, that my daughter's wasn't lying and that as disciplinary he was out of line. Instead of calming his assistant principal down, Ainsworth continued to uphold his thug like behavior. My daughter got up out of her seat, because the assistant principal, was yelling and standing over her. He disregarded my complaints about every issue, he disregarded my girls feelings, and he told me, that nothing would be done. I than said fine, I'll speak with the school board. He told me and my daughter's to not waste our time. He said ma'am let me save you sometime. You're going to go speak with a Mickey Merrit and the only thing he's going to do is call me, ask me what happened, tell me to get with the parties involved, I'm going to give him our story & that's going to be it. Because,he trust me/us, because we've been doing this job for 20 + years. Ainsworth, told us to our face, that our concerns and feelings didn't matter, because the school board would side with the school automatically. The assistant principal, that was yelling, screaming, & beating on the table, that had me and my teenage daughter's in disbelief. The threat that we felt was unreal. He continued to tell Ainsworth we were wasting their time and Ainsworth agreed and treated us like nothing. This behavior should not be allowed from people, who are there to teach and help. How can they protect the students, when they have no respect for the students nor the parents, because of their Race. For a Principal to tell me, that Nothing Will Be Done About My Complaints, Give Me Merrit Name & Feel That Confident Behind It. Shows Exactly What Type of Peoples we are dealing with. My daughter's and I felt threatened, our civil rights were violated, and we were discriminated against because of the color of our skin. Please come forward and sign this petition to bring forth change at West Monroe High School, if you have been Discriminated Against or Have had Your Civil Rights Violated. Parents and Kids, let's fight for change.
