Bring Turf Fields and other improvements to Potomac Falls High School

At the October 27, 2015 School Board Meeting, a motion will be made by School Board Member Debbie Rose to increase the funding request that will be put before the Board of Supervisors to provide for the following initiatives at Potomac Falls High School:
$1.8M for field turf on our Stadium field
$400K for two mobile classrooms
$90K for new laundry facilities
We respectfully request your sincere evaluation of and strong consideration for Ms. Rose’s motion.
In March 2015, our Athletic Booster Club submitted a presentation to the Board showing how our athletic facilities, now almost 20 years old, have fallen into various states of disrepair and how overcrowding has increased stress on our current resources. The capital necessary to bring our facilities and school building up to a comparable state with our peers across the county hinders the Booster Club’s ability to invest in other programs core to the booster club mission.
The residents of Potomac Falls have been advocates for their peers across the County. We feel the improvements listed within Ms. Rose's motion will not only support Potomac Falls High School but the surrounding community in general. It is our sincere hope that this support will be reciprocated as you consider Ms. Rose's motion.
