Vote NO to building AT&T cell towers on Short Hill Mountain
Keep the pristine mountain views of Western Loudoun County untouched! The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors is voting on October 5, 2021 on whether or not to add 125-foot tall cell towers to the ridgeline of the Short Hill Mountains. These mammoth towers would become a permanent part of nearly every constituent’s “view” in Lovettsville and surrounding communities, effectively destroying the beautiful landscape that we all enjoy.
These towers would not only effect the residents of Lovettsville (and surrounding areas with views of the Short Hill Mountains) - potentially decreasing property values because of unsightly views - but it will also detrimentally effect Western Loudoun businesses that drive customers to their location as a result of their scenic views. Wineries and other event venues would be particularly effected - who would want to book a wedding or event in a location where the backdrop of every picture is a cell tower? Very few. Loudoun County prides itself on helping small businesses but adding these towers would only HURT the little guys - not help them.
We can’t let this happen to Western Loudoun County. We have to protect our ridgelines. We have to protect our untouched scenic views. We have to protect our small businesses. Please support the residents and business owners of Western Loudoun County by signing this petition urging the Board of Supervisors to vote against adding cell towers to Short Hill Mountains. Thank you!
