Save Loudoun Agriculture!

We need your help! On October 19, 2021, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors voted to withdrawal more than 20 acres of land from the New Rockland Agricultural and Forestal District. This land will ultimately be condemned for the expansion of Route 15, a project that is expected to only require approximately 2.10 of the acres in question.
As supporters of agriculture and rural development in Loudoun County, we strongly believe that this decision sets a dangerous precedent for land placed in Agricultural and Forestal Districts and Loudoun County’s ability to condemn land, especially for speculative purposes, within AFDs without going through the review process called for within Virginia code.
Loudoun County Farm Bureau asks for your support in opposing the Board of Supervisor’s actions and asking for this decision to be reconsidered immediately. To support Loudoun Agriculture, and voice your opinion on this dangerous precedent, please sign this petition.
Additionally, we strongly encourage you to contact your representative on the Board of Supervisors. To do so visit the Loudoun County Board of Supervisor’s website.
Thank you for your support of Loudoun agriculture!
