Encourage the LAUSD to Uniformly Extend Lunch-Period Length

We, the undersigned, believe the Los Angeles Unified School District should extend the school-lunch period to more than 25 minutes after all kids receive their food, for the following reasons:
1. It is scientifically-proven that kids are more likely to eat healthier and waste less food if they are given more than 25 minutes to eat their food after they get it from the line.
2. Many kids are forced to skip lunch due to long lines, so increasing the amount of time they have to eat will help more kids get lunch which, in turn, will result in better performance in the classroom.
