The city of Los Angeles, Ca, is amongst one of the most populated cities there is in the United States, as the city continues to grow, the number of vehicles increase as well. Public parking has become an issue for the reason that many Angelinos have accustomed to double park and deprive others of public parking space. My petition is to fine those who diddle other commuters from the privilege of public parking. 
  As a male Los Angeles resident I’ve found myself circling around my neighborhood in search for an open parking space. Many times I have believed to have found a space only to drive up a bit closer and find that some one has stationed their vehicle half way through taking up a double parking space. In some occasions I have driven around my neighborhood in the late hours of the night hoping to find a parking space. 
  As a brother of two sisters they also have found themselves in the situation of finding parking space late at night. I’m sure that as myself someone else’s sisters have gone through this situation, putting them in a prolonged chance of being robbed in the mean streets of South Los Angeles. 
  The city of Los Angeles has provided free public parking for those residents that don’t have the commodity of parking inside their property or apartment complex. If a person chooses and wants to reserve a parking space I believe it’s only fair for them to pay a fee for such privilege otherwise, otherwise those who deprive others of their right to a free parking space should be fined.
