The City of Los Angeles is a sprawling metropolis with only a few traditions and civic events many of them centered around the holidays. The LADWP after years of abuses, decided to shut down the beloved Los Angeles Holiday. Our new Mayor has taken the bull by the horns and is currently overhauling and whipping DWP into shape by making them accountable for the wasteful spending including 2 sketchy DWP "Non Profits" that spent over $40 million since 2000. With a more accountable DWP, we would love to see this gesture from the DWP to the people of Los Angeles return.
We hereby humbly petition Mayor Eric Garcetti and the LADWP Board of Comissioners to bring back the Griffith Park Holiday lights and bring some seasonal fun back to Griffith Park.
